Age UK Calderdale & Kirklees is a local charity dedicated to helping everyone make the most of later life.
The over-60s is the fastest-growing group in society and there are more of us than ever before.
We stand up and speak for all those who have reached later life, and also protect the long-term interests of future generations.
Head to our Halifax shop to hire or buy mobility scooters, wheelchairs and more. We also sell a wide selection of Aids to help the elderly around their home.
We offer various other services including:
- Home Helpers to do your shopping and cleaning; a handyman service for odd jobs, gardening, etc
- Befrienders and telephone befriending
- Information & Advice service offering a free confidential service including benefits checks for older people, their families and carers.
The Dementia Hub
The Dementia Hub is an information and advice service for anyone diagnosed with dementia, located within Age UK. The aim of the hub is to ensure people in Calderdale have access to a wide range of dementia information and advice. Contact the hub to find out more:
